About Bree Allison
of Thimbleberry

Bree was born in the heart of downtown Vancouver following a long line of family lineage in Grouard, Alberta and the surrounding areas. She is of Cree, Métis and mixed European decent.
“Growing up my mother and grandmother always had us thrifting, searching for the next great find. The mentality was always to rescue beautifully constructed one of a kind vintage finds from going to the landfill.”
That passion to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly brand still resonates today. In addition to carefully hand making each piece, she works with a combination of new and vintage materials. Leathers, suedes etc. are often sourced from vintage finds. “Each piece I construct, I try to create a personal experience for my customers. I do not make duplicate beadings on purpose. Each one connects me to my lineage, my history and culture. Something I wish my grandmother felt the freedom to share with us growing up.”

This line is dedicated to the loving memory of Elsie Edna Allison.

About Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller is an Canadian artist, currently living in Kelowna, BC. In 2003 she started experimenting with paint, amongst other materials and her practice has evolved since into a wide variety of mixed media.

“My passion for art making developed when I began to think that I was lousy conversationalist and it'd be easier to just explain my thoughts with an image. Both my practice, and my understanding of what I’m creating is continually evolving. I consider it my life’s work to make new art, representing where I was at in life during that time, a visual biography. Majority of my artistic inspiration has been derived from the idea of a world based on dream logic. The weird, the wild and the whimsical.”
